Terms of Use
By using Sybaris you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Who we are
Sybaris is operated by Vauzher Khairullah, Germany. Contact: sybaris@slidova.com.
2. The service
Sybaris provides Italian-learning podcast episodes, transcripts, vocabulary tools, and related features. Features may change as we improve the product. We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sybaris. If you are between 13 and the age of digital consent in your country, you may need a parent or guardian’s permission.
4. Accounts
The app may create an anonymous account so your progress can sync. You are responsible for activity under your account on your device. You can delete your account and associated personal data in More → Delete account & data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse, attack, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law.
- Do not attempt to access other users’ data or disrupt servers.
- Do not use the app for unlawful purposes.
6. AI-generated content
Episode scripts and voices are generated with AI and curated for language learning. Content may contain imperfections. It is provided for educational purposes and is not professional advice, news reporting, or a substitute for human instruction. Episodes are not live recordings of real conversations.
7. Intellectual property
The Sybaris name, app, design, and catalog content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own learning. You may not redistribute episode audio or transcripts commercially without permission.
8. Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that content will be error-free. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under German or EU consumer law.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by mandatory law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life/body/health, or other non-waivable claims remains unaffected.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence in the EU/EEA.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
